Civilization IV : Rise of Mankind - A New Dawn

Unfortunately, i don't speak a word of Chinese, so i must write this message in english (NOTA: If a moderator can translate this, please.).

As a developer of the mod Rise of Mankind - A New Dawn, i've recently worked hard to bring the support of Chinese, Japanese and Korean to one of best mods ever made for this game! The mod is now playable out-of-the-box in Chinese. You just need an European/US version of the game!

To do this:
- Get an European/US copy of Civilization IV (steam or anything else)
- Patch it to 3.19 (automatically done with steam)
- Go to our brand new website http://anewdawn.sourceforge.net/ (or http://www.moddb.com/mods/rise-of-mankind-a-new-dawn)
- Download this unofficial expansion pack
- Install it
- Start the launcher and select Chinese.

You won't need to install a Chinese patch anymore.

The translation patch from your website has been merged but unfortunately, the game is only translated at 50% in Chinese. However, it is easier than ever to translate Civ IV. Just connect on https://www.transifex.com/projects/p/and-main-mod/ and start translating :)
Note: Your team and all the translators will be added to the credits page of the website in the coming days.

I really hope the Chinese community will find any interest in this. We want it to be the most reliable, polished, translated mod ever made for Civ IV :)

huh....finally I know why I cannot select Chinese in the game,which I've just updated to the latest version form SVN...

What is the problem exactly ? If you use the SVN version, start the launcher once (and2_checker.exe) and change the language to chinese here.
Note that you don't need to use the SVN version anymore (except if you want a total control on the files).

The launcher is used to update the game easily since more than 6 months.

It does not work very well...I changed my game into US version,but when I selected Chinese in option menu,LOTS of XML loading error occured.

It seems that there's something wrong with "<Tag>TXT_KEY_EVENT_WORLD_FREE_ENTERPRISE_2</Tag>" in the file "RoM_CIV4GameText_Events_BTS.xml"...and some other XMLs.

You should not change the language in-game! It should be changed from the launcher (and2_checker.exe in mod directory)!

Moreover, the file which appears in the error has been removed months ago. I strongly suggest you reinstall the mod from scratch (remove the existing folder first) with https://sourceforge.net/projects/anewdawn/files/latest/download. Then, use the launcher to update the game. It will warn you when an update is available.

I knew this mod from civfanatics.com in years ago and I love tons of techs in it.
Thanks for your great effort, hope one day it will be 100% translated in Chinese.

Since several days, I split Chinese into Simplified and Traditional Chinese. Traditional translators can now work on it. We are still lacking Chinese translators :(
